Sally Edwards is a playwright, scriptwriter and librettist based in West Yorkshire.

 

Sally's work has written extensively for youth theatre, specialising in large cast and ensemble pieces and adaptations of classical works for modern audiences. She is a regular writer for Bingley Little Theatre, West Yorkshire, where she often collaborates with musician and composer, Katy Grainger.

 

Sally has worked as a showreel scriptwriter for actors, a writing consultant for the NHS and community settings, and as writer of literacy workshops and showcases.

 

Sally wrote the libretto for Ben Crick's new oratorio, Yorkshire Nativity and the narrative script for Geoff Hannan's Penhill Giant, both of which had their professional debuts at Skipton Town Hall.

To date, Sally's plays have been performed in sixteen different countries internationally (in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America as well as in the UK).
